The Rift Zone is the web portal for all things creative from the students in Rain's Co-Op class at Maplewood High School in the Toronto District School Board. We are bringing positive creations to life thanks to the wonderful support of our community.
A "rift" in science fiction lingo usually refers to a portal between one universe and another, promising adventure and excitement to those brave souls who travel through them. Our students are filled with creative passion, and want to be involved in bringing their visions to life. The Rift Zone will help that happen. This will be a place where our creative projects can shine and be shared. In doing so, we are helping to build a bridge between our students and the world around them.
Our first project is with the incredibly talented and generous folk at Onell Design of Action, MA in the United States. Matt and Michelle Doughty of Onell Design provided the students with a pound of wonderful Glyos System action figures to customize. We are super excited! This is the first of hopefully many collaborations with the wonderful folk at Onell Design. We are almost finished the packaging layout and have a few more figures to tweak. We will keep you posted as we roll along!
